Trees
Christmas trees are ideal objects to attempt
to draw using Logo.
It
helps if the children are aware of angles in parallel lines.
Please look at the diagram.
This
Logo activity fits in well with work on angles in parallel lines,
alternate and corresponding angles (F-angles and Z-angles) and angles
in an Isosceles triangle. What happens if the 40 degree angle is
changed?
The
children accurately draw the tree on paper before trying to write
a Logo procedure.
The
basic tree can have a Logo trunk, pot and baubles added.
